In Hardware language we mainly called this issue a no display problem.
In case your laptop doesn't show you any sign of power supply, then it means that you have a different problem with your laptop and now the only thing what you can do is to use some different(but same) power adapter on your laptop just for the testing purpose.
To troubleshoot the problem on a user end, you only have Three different methods what you can try on a laptop before sending it to the repair.
* Display Checkup.
Test your laptop's output on some other external monitor. That's how you can easily troubleshoot your laptop and find it that really the internal fault or just a display.
* BIOS Checkup.
The best way to trigger faulty is to reset it and these steps will help you manually reset your laptop's BIOS.
Step 1-: First you'll need to fully turn off your laptop and then unplug the power adapter and then the battery too.
Step 2-: Now press the Power button of Laptop for about 20 seconds to reset the CMOS configuration.
Step 3-: After that turn your laptop ON without even using the battery and by just connecting the power adapter only.
Most of time this will completely reset BIOS and now you are able to run your laptop,just like as it was before.
and in some cases you'll need to de-assemble your laptop in order to properly reset the BIOS by removing the CMOS battery for 5 seconds.
* RAM Checkup.
RAM is the one who easily get dirty due to age or bad moisture surrounding and not just that, it's also possible that your RAM got dead too.
How to fix RAM problem
Step 1-: Unplug all the power source like a battery or power cable.
Step 2-: Now open your laptop's back case where actually the RAM is located and then remove the RAM from its slot.
Step 3-: After that you have to clean your laptop's RAM well.
Step 4-: Now it's time to put the RAM back to their place. In case if you have two RAM installed in computer then you can try to remove one of them and then turn ON your laptop.if your PC still won't work,then just remove the RAM from it's slot and then install another RAM in same slot. if your computer still won't able to work out, then just repeat the previous step on the other RAM slot of your laptop.
and then you can easily find which of your RAM or RAM' slot isn't working properly.
